The Direct Image® FC5000 Field Instrument is the field data acquisition platform that allows you to perform numerous logging methods: - As a stand-alone instrument, the FC5000 performs soil conductivity logging.
- Coupled to the MP6500 or MP3500 Membrane Interface Probe Controller, this instrument performs MIP data acquisition.
- Used in conjunction with the K6000 or K6003 Hydraulic Profiling Tool (HPT) Controller, this instrument performs HPT logging.
The FC5000 is equipped with an integrated, membrane style keypad, 67-key keypad that accepts all user inputs for logging. The 7.1-inch "transflective" LCD and front-mounted contrast control provide easy viewing of Direct Image graphs when producing field logs. All field logs are viewed "real-time" in a graphic output on the LCD panel. A front-mounted, Compact Flash Type II drive is used to download log files for transfer to your PC. Instrument testing and configuration is handled through built-in self-test and configuration values.
