MIP Qualifications:
The principals and key personnel in Precisions Direct Sensing service lines have been performing MIP work since 1996. We have completed over 50+ projects over the last 10 years. Precision personnel have completed projects for the Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies as well as the liable property owners. Types of contaminants investigated include chlorinated, petroleum, heavy fuels, VOCs and co-mingled plumes.

Some of our unique capabilities include; MIP/DSITMS, MIP/CPT (hybrid), MIP/DPT, and MIP followed by purge and trap analysis. We have solved a myriad of challanges including system redundancy issues, application of different return lines including PEEK, and a quick connect system to our data acquisition vehicles. We believe clients prefer MIP due to the favorable cost vs. data acquired analysis.

Deployment Methods:
  • Static: CPT – 20-30 ton track and truck mounted CPT rigs (including Geoprobe’s new 6625CPT)
  • Percussion: Truck and track mounted Geoprobes (7720DT, 6620DT, 5400) as well as limited access applications.
Special Capabilities:
Combination MIP-CPT advancement allowing for contaminant and lithologic CPT data in one push, Trapping and Speciation, GC-MS speciation.

Multiple push platforms allow for access to virtually any site. On- or off-road, indoors or out.

With full sized CPT trucks we can reduce our setup so that all MIP and CPT equipment is housed within the single, air-conditioned, stainless steel environment. This provides a cleaner environment for the equipment and allows for better communication between the MIP Specialist, Operator and Client which increases safety over the traditional setup where the MIP technician is in a separate vehicle away form the rig operator. It also allows for increased production. Precision has built their own MIP Lab to conduct Bench Testing, System Checks, and MIP training in a controlled environment.
