MIP Qualifications:
Vironex has provided direct push services across the U.S. since 1993 and operated our MIP Division since 2000. With the extensive resources and a wide array of DPT platforms, Vironex has the capability of deploying the MIP with the deep application Geoprobe 6600, 6620DT, & 540M (Limited Access) rigs. Vironex’s MIP Division provides ECD, PID, and FID data with Soil Conductivity to identify petroleum and chlorinated hydrocarbon source zone contaminant distribution in both the saturated and unsaturated zone, and the extent of downgradient contamination.

Vironex also offers HPT in conjunction with MIP project implementation to determine hydraulic conductivity of target intervals of interest identified by the MIP.

Vironex’s unique MIP configuration and services enables the consultant to obtain relative contaminant concentrations, as well as being able to speciate contaminants through a continuous trapping system and traditional confirmation soil, groundwater, and soil gas sampling.

Vironex assists environmental consultants nationwide in obtaining high definition site characterization data through our MIP System to allow them to obtain a better understanding of contaminant distribution in relation to lithology. This is critical information required to implement successful in-situ remedial programs.

Vironex also has the capability to cost effectively provide 3D visualization (Rockworks of EVS) of contaminant mass distribution in relation to lithology as well as site landmarks. This capability allows consultants and their clients to gain a better visual perspective of the contaminant distribution.

Field data, images and reports can be transmitted real time from the field directly to the consultant’s desktop, as well as uploaded daily to a secure website where they can be accessed by project stakeholders through the internet.

Method of MIP Deployment:
Static and percussion with Geoprobe 6600, 6620DT, & 540M (limited access) rigs. Vironex provides a turnkey MIP service deployment through our own DPT equipment and employees. We do not subcontract any services unless CPT capabilities are requested by our clients for deep applications.
Special Capabilities:
Continuous trapping and speciation system and traditional confirmation soil, groundwater, and soil gas sampling, 3-D visualization, detailed reporting, integration of MIP data into in-situ remediation injection strategies—“Targeted Injection Plans” through our Search and DestroyTM approach.

Custom designed MIP Sprinter vans (2006 through 2008) with pre-strung dual rod strings to minimize down time from broken probes or saturated trunk lines, the ability to implement the MIP through dual wall casing to prevent cross contamination, integrated low-noise generator, refrigerators for storage of confirmation samples, internet access, air conditioned, high end laptop / printer capable of generating 3-D images in the field.

Service Area:
Continental U.S.
Number of MIP Systems Operating:
Currently operating 3 Geoprobe MIP Sprinter Van Systems.

[3D model]
Vironex uses MIP (ECD, PID and FID) data to estimate overall contaminant mass reduction based on pre-injection MIP results. This is a superior approach to determining remaining contaminant mass contributing to rebound so that additional injection events can be optimized.

Vironex Integrates the MIP (EC, ECD, PID and FID), HPT and other various pieces of data to develop a strategic injection approach will enable us to surgically target the contamination.
